Jellinbah Resources

Jellinbah Resources is a producer of black coking coal and has been operating for over 20 years.  Jellinbah needed to implement an Access Control System and a modern Document Handling System at their site in Central Queensland, Australia.  Like many other large organisations, they were still using paper-based time sheets and documents were scattered across a number of databases which made it very difficult for workers to access them.

Touchsafe Systems (TSS) was installed at Jellinbah in August 2011. 

​

Jellinbah looked at a number of systems and chose Touchsafe because of its broad capabilities and our willingness to handle the entire project.  Jellinbah's requirements included the full suite of Touchsafe applications, including supplying of Boom Gates. To speed up entry and exit, TSS devised an efficient wireless system to cater for group entry e.g. buses. Touchsafe worked closely with Jellinbah to deliver a product that met their needs. The initial brief was expanded to include the monitoring of vehicles on the haul road.  Touchsafe devised a laser and camera system to capture the image of unauthorised vehicles and email them immediately to relevant Jellinbah staff for action.

 

Jellinbah has reported great satisfaction with their Touchsafe system and is looking forward to reaping the continual benefits that it has brought them. Touchsafe greatly appreciates the contribution and understanding of Jellinbah in the development and implementing of such a broad leading edge project.

 

Theiss Mining

Touchsafe is also installed at the Thiess Mining (the mining arm of CIMIC Group) located at Jellinbah Plains open cut pit. Staff, contractors and visitors now swipe on at the boom gate to gain entry/exit, and again at Plains to sign on and off at the Plain's area. They can be tracked across the large lease area providing more accurate security and safety information. They are able to access all documents, plans, drawings, shift reports, SOP's, JSA's etc at a finger touch, without needing to enter the administration building.


This now means that Jellinbah Plains personnel get the same great access to information and other benefits of Touchsafe previously accessible only at Jellinbah Central.

Middlemount Coal

Middlemount Coal, which operates in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, contracted Touchsafe Systems to install our latest Access Control and Drug and Alcohol testing candidate’s selection systems.
